Over the past decade, I have had the privilege of witnessing Acharya Mohit Bharadvaja’s “Bhagīratha Prayatna” (भगीरथप्रयNः) – a monumental endeavour in which a carefully planted seed has taken root and is now steadily growing towards its full potential.

What has been established is far more than an institution; it is a living prototype inspired by the timeless principles of our civilization. As it matures and blossoms, it will become a vibrant nursery for nurturing and propagating the finest Hindu intellectual, cultural, and social initiatives for generations to come.

It has been my honour to be both a well-wisher and a contributor to this significant undertaking. May this noble endeavour continue to flourish, inspire, and serve Dharma for many generations. My heartfelt शुभाशयाः to Acharya Mohit Bharadvaja and all those associated with this sacred mission.

Vaidik Bharat(वैिदक भारत) has been selflessly working to build a proper ecosystem, not just a Vaidik Gurukula. I have known Mohitji now for 8 years and he is doing an amazing job in running the gurukul with his limited resources, and giving his Shishyas not only a great Vedic education but also an exposure to the wider world via their numerous trips around India. I will urge people to not only support this effort but also visit the Gurukul.

Thank you for your grace in making me a part of your sacred mission. I know I am singularly unqualified but I have my reverence as the core civilizational work you have undertaken as my source of truth to provide my comments.

About seven or eight years ago, one of my former journalism students and friend, Aniruddh Subhedar, visited my home in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, accompanied by Mohit Bhardwaj. Even in the biting winter of Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, Mohit was dressed like an ascetic, wearing only a saffron-grey dhoti. At that very moment, I realized that he was no ordinary young man.

I learned that he had left a corporate career in the IT industry to dedicate himself to the Vaidik Bharat movement, pioneered by him for the revival of the Vedas. I also learned that he had just initiated a Gurukul in the Baghpat region of western Uttar Pradesh. What surprised me was that, at an age when most young professionals trained in modern technology are focused on advancing their careers or pursuing innovation, Mohit had traveled across India—especially in the South—to collect, preserve, and master endangered branches (shakhas) of the Vedas and the Vedangas. Remarkably, through his efforts, one branch of the Rigveda, the Shankhayana Shakha, has been revived. Achieving mastery in two Vedas at such a young age is no small accomplishment.

My interest in Mohit and his work deepened further when I learned about his ambitious vision of establishing a full fledged Vedic Gurukul that harmonizes ancient Vedic wisdom with modern knowledge and science. His comprehensive plan includes teaching, research, and preservation of the Shukla Yajurveda, including the Madhyandina Shakha, which belongs to my own family tradition.

On what was once a large but nearly barren tract of land—uneven, full of pits, and infested with termites—Mohit Bhardwaj and a handful of dedicated colleagues have today created a remarkable Vedic Gurukul. Alongside it, they have established a complete gaushala housing indigenous and pure breeds of Indian cows, calves, and bulls; developed a small forest of native and endangered Indian trees; and created a thriving habitat for numerous birds and other living creatures. They have also initiated several noteworthy projects, including the practice of Shastra-approved (ethical) agriculture, the digitization of ancient manuscripts and traditional texts, and the organization of Shrauta rituals and Vakyartha Sabhas (scholarly scriptural debates). Their vision for the next five years is even more extensive and ambitious.

I am confident that discerning members of Sanatan society will actively participate in this noble spiritual endeavor—a Tapoyajna—dedicated to the revival of India’s

Vedic knowledge tradition, its research, critical analysis, and its systematic transmission to future generations.

People on earth should build their character and behaviour by staying in the vicinity of people born in Brahmāvarta.

This timeless declaration made by Manu Maharaja was on the verge of getting sacrificed at the altar of the time but by the grace of śrutisetu-pālaka Bhagavān the Vaidika Agni was Rekindled in the same hoary brahmavarta by the efforts of the Vaidika Bharata Suparna trust. It won’t be an exaggeration if we say that Suparna of brahmatejas has arrived to awaken the Ramatva bound the naagpash of nescience.

I knew Sri. Mohit Bharadwaj ji initially through social media but met with him later when he visited Kanchi with his dharmapatni sometimes in 2021 I think. He had darsanam of the Pujyasri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swamigal of Kanchi Shankaracharya Matham got his blessings. Later he started his Gurukulam near Gurugram on principles laid down by our traditional system of gurukulams. He was part of the mission revival of Shankhayana shakha of Rigveda from an age old scholar from Rajasthan.

I’ve been watching his posts on his gurukulam in social media & personal messages too & I’m thoroughly impressed with the conviction with which he has been organizing this gurukulam.

I pray to Bhagavan to guide him further on the path of dharma & give him the required energy & resources to achieve what he has vowed for the welfare of the society

I first came to know of Mohit ji and his extraordinary efforts to revive a fading branch of the Rigveda through Twitter, and later through Sangam Talks lecture around 2019–20. Since then, I have had the privilege of being associated with Vaidika Bharata, although in a very small way.

Today, many ancient traditions like those of Greece survive only as artifacts in museums—the rituals are preserved in documents, but the living practice has long been dead. In contrast, our Vaidika rituals have continued as an unbroken living tradition since the Bronze Age, passed down with total fidelity. This is only due to the effort of generations of our ancestors giving their entire lives for this.

Hence it is our collective duty to ensure that this sacred heritage does not meet the same fate as so many other ancient cultures. By nurturing and strengthening these traditions, we can help them thrive for generations to come.
